Today I went to see Spring Awakening.

Only I didn’t because I thought it was at half 5 and I was wrong, so I slept through it.

Fuck sake.

So instead, my mother agreed to buy me a lot of clothes from the internet because it is now summer (though it’s raining at the moment) and I don’t have any summer clothes so I have to be too warm.

Oh, and I haven’t done anything this half term. Oh, and I have a fuck load of exams next week. Seriously I have 6 two hour exams next week. SIX. Then the week after I have quite a few as well, but then I have a 3 month summer so it’s not all bad.

And so help me if I’m indoors for more than 10% of the summer. I will consider it a failure.

I went to pay my £20 for a prom ticket today when my head of year greeted me at the door saying ‘oh don’t worry Josh, you have a free prom ticket.’

Now, I’m aware that they were giving the so-called ‘good’ students a free ticket, because of good behavior, turning up to revision sessions, not getting in trouble etcetera.

I’ve done none of these things, whilst I’m not a stabby drug dealer, I’m the worst behaved of the smart students. I was rejected as a prefect because of my behavior. So, amongst my circle of friends, I am the only non-prefect. (However, this means that students lower down the school identify me as a maverick and therefore do what I tell them more than Prefects.)

The real reason the school has gifted me with a ticket to the prom?

I watch films a lot. For reals. I take film studies as an extra option which means I have to stay at school an extra 2 hours every Wednesday. During these 2 hours, we watch films.

I genuinely got a prom ticket for watching a lot of films.

Oh well, I’m not complaining.

The Prom in Britain, in my mind seems nowhere near as romanticized as the US seems to make it. Over here, the Prom is pretty much just a meeting place to go and get hammered at the after-party.

Yesterday was the best day of my life so far, a joint first with the last night of the musical however.

It was my official last day of school, ever. Sure, I’m going to college. But yesterday was my last day of compulsory education.

I was a Ninja.

Everyone in our year went to the park together, a seemingly simple task, but everyone loved it and each other. After 5 years, everyone just, got on with each other amazingly.

No-one was emotional though, but we still have a month of revision classes to go to, not compulsory but, stupid to miss. Then our prom, which will hopefully equal yesterday in it’s amazingness.

Apparantly I can no longer be bothered with youtube. It just doesn’t interest me anymore.

I’m not going to be melodramatic and say ‘ooh look at me I’m quitting youtube’

I just want you to know I will rarely make videos anymore. I have an IRL social life to attend to which I seem to have neglected for the past year and a half.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m so glad I have my youtube friends and I’ll still be at any gatherings I hear about.

Just youtube isn’t my priority anymore.

Although I am going to attempt to update this blog a lot more often, it’s meant to be a diary and thats what I should do with it.
